Jingduan Yang, MD
Board-certified in Psychiatry
Dr. Jingduan Yang is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive training and experience in neurology, psychopharmacology, integrative medicine and acupuncture.
Dr. Yang received his medical and neurology training in China. He was a research fellow in clinical psychopharmacology at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. He then completed residency training in psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr Yang is also a Bravewell fellow and a graduate of the two year Program of Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona led by Dr. Andrew Weil.
Dr. Yang has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in his fields of expertise, and he has been a speaker at a few national and international conferences and academic forums.
Dr. Yang is the founder and medical director of Tao Institute of Mind & Body Medicine at Mt. Laurel, New Jersey and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Dr. Yang also practices integrative psychiatry and medicine at the Jefferson Mryna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Daniel P. Mirro, MD
Board-certified in Psychiatry
Dr Mirro is a highly trained board-certified psychiatrist with 39 years of experience in integrated treatment of all forms of psychiatric problems. His skills include adolescent and adult psychiatry, hypnotherapy, group therapy, marital and family therapy and psychopharmacology.
Dr. Mirro received his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine (Bellevue Hospital) in New York City. His internship was at Lenox Hill Hospital (New York City) and his psychiatric residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital (New York City). Following his residency, Dr. Mirro served two years in the US Navy at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital including one year as director of the out-patient and dependent clinic. Upon discharge, he combined a full-time out-patient practice with teaching psychiatric residents at University of Pennsylvania and Jefferson University. In 2005, Dr Mirro joined Dr. Yang when he went into part-time practice.
Dr. Mirro has taught interview technique, psychotherapy, group therapy, comprehensive psychiatric care, and consultation psychiatry. Dr. Mirro has mentored younger psychiatrists in the art of treating all the psychological and biochemical problems affecting the mental health of patients. He is a strong advocate of treatments that are tailored to his patients’ specific needs, and he believes placing the healing of the patient above any single form of therapy.
